Draft: some company details are still being added (shown in [brackets]). This text will be reviewed by a UAE lawyer before AlphaCV opens to the public.
Under the UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data, you have rights over your personal data. Here is what they mean at AlphaCV and how to use them. More detail is in our Privacy Policy.
Your rights
| See your data | Ask what personal data we hold about you, why, and who we share it with, and get a copy. |
| Correct it | Ask us to fix anything that is wrong or incomplete. You can change your name and WhatsApp number yourself on the Account page until your first campaign; after that, ask us. |
| Delete it | Delete your account and data yourself on the Account page, remove a CV on the My CV page, or ask us. We keep only what the law requires, such as payment records. |
| Take it with you | Ask for your data in a common, machine-readable format. |
| Limit or object | Ask us to stop or limit using your data in a particular way. Note that some uses are needed for the service to work. |
| Withdraw consent | For example, stop us keeping your CV after a campaign (on the My CV page) or disconnect your email account at any time. |
| A human review | Ask a person at AlphaCV to look again at any automatic check, for example a CV or email that was held. |
How to make a request
- Email [Privacy email] from the email address on your AlphaCV account, saying what you would like.
- We may ask you to confirm your identity before sharing or changing data, to protect your account.
- We reply as soon as we can, and within 30 days. There is no charge, unless a request is clearly excessive or repeated.
If we cannot do what you ask (for example, because the law requires us to keep something), we will explain why.
If you are not satisfied
Please tell us first at [Privacy email] so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the UAE Data Office.
